Free core beta · Natal reading
A natal reading you can check.
Explore your calculated birth chart alongside traditional source excerpts. Open the citations to inspect the supporting material and its review status.
What you get
A reading grounded in your chart
Your calculated placements, dignities, nakshatras and planetary periods provide the context. The reading brings together selected chart details and available traditional sources for your question.
Sources you can inspect
Numbered citations open the supporting source or calculated evidence. Source cards show the claim and its review status, so you can distinguish draft material from documented expert review. Gaps in coverage are identified in the reading.
A reading saved in your account
Return to your natal reading from the library. A natal reading uses 20 introductory credits. The free core beta focuses on your chart, natal reading and saved library.
How it is computed
From planetary positions to chart details and an inspectable reading.
01
The positions are astronomy
The Sun, Moon and planetary positions are calculated from NASA/JPL DE440s ephemeris data, separately from the language model. Birth details, time zones and the chosen chart conventions also affect the result.
02
Chart details follow defined conventions
Antara uses sidereal positions with the Lahiri ayanamsa, whole-sign houses and Vimshottari dasha from the Moon’s nakshatra. The same birth details and calculation version produce the same chart. Estimated birth times can change time-sensitive details.
03
AI selects evidence for the reading
The model selects from calculated chart details and retrieved sources. Antara checks those selections, then assembles the text from calculated statements and attributed source excerpts. The current interpretation library is internally drafted and awaits named expert review.
The full pipeline is on the methodology page, and how a birth chart is calculated goes through the arithmetic.
Questions, answered
What is included in the free core beta?
The birth chart is free and needs no account. New accounts start with 50 introductory credits; a full natal reading uses 20. Credit purchases are unavailable during the beta, and reading availability may be limited.
How is this different from an AI chatbot writing about my chart?
Antara calculates the chart separately from the language model. AI selects evidence; Antara validates the selections and renders the reading using the available statements and source excerpts. This makes the material inspectable. It does not establish that an interpretation applies to you or validate personal prediction accuracy.
What happens if there is no claim covering my chart?
The reading identifies missing coverage and can show the available calculated context without claiming it answers your question. Missing configurations enter a review queue; that does not mean an expert has reviewed them yet.
Can I check the sources?
Yes. Open a numbered citation to inspect its supporting claim or calculated evidence. Traditional source cards include review status and any recorded references. Calculated context and general guidance do not all carry individual citations.
Do you need my exact birth time?
Birth time affects the ascendant, houses and planetary periods. Mark your time as known, estimated or unknown. With an estimated range, Antara can compare sampled times and show which calculated details change; samples do not establish stability between them.
